- What is planning poker?
- A team estimation technique. Everyone privately picks a card for how much effort a story takes, all cards are revealed at once, and the discussion happens where the numbers disagree. Revealing together is the point: it stops the loudest or most senior voice anchoring everyone else.
- Do we need to create an account?
- No. Click create, share the code or QR with your team, and start. There is no signup, no email and no install.
- Which card deck do you use?
- A modified Fibonacci deck: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and up, plus a coffee card. The gaps between the higher numbers are deliberate, because nobody can tell a 20 from a 21 and pretending otherwise wastes the meeting.
- How many people can join a room?
- Whole-team sized sessions work comfortably. Everyone sees votes appear in real time, and the facilitator controls when they are revealed.
- What happens to our stories and votes?
- They live in the session while it is open and disappear when it ends. Nothing is kept, because there are no accounts to keep it against.
- Does it work on phones?
- Yes. Join by scanning the QR code, and the voting deck adapts to a single-column layout on small screens.
